For the confirmed golfer and novice player alike, 18-hole 130-hectare Angkor Golf Resort – 15 minutes from the town and temple ruins – is a striking golf course to behold. A beautiful example of Man’s integration with nature, designed by British professional golfing legend Nick Faldo, contours, bunkers and waterways take existing trees into consideration and have been built around the eldest ones – including a magnificent 40-year-old palm. The course is the only grass range in Cambodia with well-maintained Paspalum grass, a high-quality tropical American species.

Its famous second hole, a challenging par four dogleg, is one of the courses talking points, and the whole course has been internationally lauded. Another signature of the course, hole 13 is nicknamed the Sahara Hole, as this par five is studded with bunkers.

To help make your visit as comfortable and interesting as possible, our caddies are multilingual and very knowledgeable about the play of each hole. Enjoy a few pointers from them as you walk the fairways or allow yourself to be driven around in our small fleet of electric-powered buggies.

Our annual Amateur Angkor Open competition, held every August draws quite a golfing crowd, notably from Southeast Asia and India.

The course here has been acknowledged by aficionados to take golf in Cambodia to a new world-class level. It was awarded third best golf course in Asia by Asian Golf Monthly magazine for 2008 – one year after we opened. And the same publication named us the Best Maintained Golf Course for 2012.

Come and visit us and you will soon see why. Our driving range – 300 yards long, with real grass is also quite a treat, and why not also perfect your putting on our grass practice green.

Nick Faldo said of Angkor Golf Resort’s fairways: “I believe that we have created a course that offers great variety through all 18 holes and the fact that we have been working alongside such remarkable surroundings has been a real inspiration; the result is a strategically testing and very engaging round of golf. I believe that our course at the Angkor Golf Resort will help to put this part of Southeast Asia firmly on the golfing map.”

Your visit is not only about the game of golf itself – our clubhouse has an impressive international menu and drinks list. Western and Asian dishes include salads, sandwiches, pasta, noodles and rice dishes. Our fruit shakes, iced drinks and top quality coffee are all very popular. On the course itself, we have two teahouses that serve refreshing drinks and revitalizing, for snacks when golfers feel like a break in their play.

Angkor Golf Resort provides an integrated resort and luxurious residential community. The resort offers a relaxed and secluded lifestyle in the heart of the Siem Reap – the most popular tourist destination in Cambodia.
